Mens and Ladies Football GAA Club
St. Michael’s Hurling and Football Club is an amateur sports club in Toronto that plays the national games of Ireland here in Canada. Founded back in 1965, the club has grown to become one of the most successful clubs in the city.
We currently have 2 senior teams, a ladies team and a men’s team, playing in the Toronto GAA Championships and we will soon be looking to establish youth teams and coaching to bring the enjoyment of Gaelic games to more and more people.
Gaelic games is to Irish people what Ice Hockey is to Canadians, it’s our game and we want to share it with everyone. So if you're interested in learning a new sport, making new friends and finding something new to do during the summer until Ice Hockey starts back then please get in contact either through our email, secretary.stmikes.ca@gaa.ie or our contact us form and we will be happy to get you started.
The most successful senior men's football team in Toronto GAA history, the Mikes men have built up a reputation as a championship team who know how to win on the big day. Hard workers on the field, the men are well able to unwind off the field and enjoy many social nights. Backboned by a core of long standing Irish and Canadian players, the group is always looking to strengthen and welcome new players to the team!
Fresh from winning the 2019 Toronto GAA Senior ladies championship and a fourth title in five years, the Mikes ladies team has rich history in the Toronto Championship. The team is made up of both Irish players and a number of Canadians who not only have taken up the sport but have gone on to excel and become some of the most feared players within Toronto. Couple all of this with a great social culture within the team, the Mikes ladies footballers are extremely welcoming and are always keen to have new players joining!
